Welcome to the first issue of my blogging tips series. I have been planning to write a comprehensive blogging guide for a while. A few of my reader really spurred me on to write something which gets inside the depths of blogging, This is going to be a 12 part series which will catapult your blog to another level, you’ll learn valuable knowledge on how you can start a blog and then take it to a point where you profit from it.
Starting your very own blog can be a great experience and hugely enjoyable. It can be a way to add an additional income stream although this is a long term goal. In this series we will examine the topics that will help you build a blog that readers come back to over and over again,
Blogging tip 1
Before you decide to jump into creating your blog, it’s important to know what the purpose of your blog is going to be. Simply brainstorm the topics you are interested in and that you know something about or that you want to find something about. For example, you could start a blog about your favorite hobby, pet or sport . You might have the motivation to start a business, political or educational blog. The of topic is up to you but make sure it inspires you as this will inspire others.
Blogging tip 2
You’ll want to choose the blogging platform to use. If you’re a new blogger, you may want to start with with one of the free platforms available like, Blogger or Livejournal . If you have some experience with how blogs work and want to host your blog on your own domain then WordPress is a great option.
These are all free and provide you with the tools you need to create a great blog. The only other thing to consider before using a free blog platform like Blogger is that your blog’s url will look like this: http://techigyaanblog.blogspot.co.uk
Paying for a domain is an expense and hosting your website will cost you a little more but what you get is a streamlined domain name that will help brand your business. More importantly if it’s catchy and easy to remember you will get visitors naturally coming back to you. These are the simply building blocs you need get them right and they will help you art off well
Blogging tips for posting content on your blog:
Blogging tip 3
Make sure that you’re adding regular content to your blog. At the very least you should be looking to post a few times a week. This will demonstrate to your audience that you are an active blogger. This will naturally give them a reason to revisit your blog, because they will want to consume your content.
Blogging tip 4
Set a goal to maintain a strong presence on your blog and be ready to engage with your reader when they have a question and want your opinion on it.This sounds a little cliche but if you can :
“Become a habit that your readers don’t want to live without.”
Making a connection with readers is important. If you are having a tough time writing that next post or you might want to end your blog just pause for a second and think of your regular readers and followers. They trust your options and views they have invested there time with you so make it your priority to look after them. It’s a two way relationship.
Blogging tip 5
The most necessary part of having a blog is making sure that you show your readers who you are voice your own opinions. The fact is if you blog about a subject you are really interested in then your blogging life will be far easier this is probably one of my best blogging tips I can share with you. Being knowledgeable about a topic and putting yourself out there is important but conveying passion is the key to success. The simple truth is people like to hear the opinions of others.
“Opinions get reactions and reactions get readers and comments.”
Blogging tip 5
Content is king so getting your blog content right and knowing how to write a killer blog post is vital. Each post should consist of well research high quality work. And make sure before you post anything you check through it to make sure you limit any spelling of grammar mistakes. In an ideal world you would ask someone else to read through your work but in the real world this is not always possible.
