Artistic creations are born of an artist’s personality.
To produce a work of art is to elicit a deeper purpose from the creator’s mind, reconstructed into a physical form.
Authoring is one such art. I personally define writing as an artistic strategy to engage communication between an author and his reader.
To be an effective writer, one must have the ability to permeate through the emotional barriers of his readers.
The ability of an author to make his reader feel exactly as he wants is the secret ingredient of any written composition!
The human person is filled with an innumerable set of emotions; feelings such as laughter, anger, sadness, sorrow, excitement and love are only some of the emotions one author might elicit from his readers through his writings.
Blogging is articulating written work based on personal insight, usually concerning a specific topic.
Blogs shouldn’t be shrugged off as an inartistic form of biased writing, though a lot of times this is exactly how it is.
While I agree that there are blogs out there that shouldn’t be paid much attention to, due to their being more political than personal and biased more than subjective.
However, I also believe that most bloggers are not like that. Normal folks, like you and me, are the typical blogger, and I believe that we outnumber the erroneous.
Now let’s get to the main reason as to why I am writing this. My intent is to point out how blogging is best composed.
So what does it take exactly to be an author of effective blog articles?
The most important element of any written component is capturing the emotion of readers.
This is called emotional outreach and, in fact, is the ultimate purpose of most literary works. People will buy into your writings because of the emotions you are able to elicit from them.
Just as I stated in an earlier paragraph; there are countless human emotions, commanding action to any of these, at your own whim, is the goal.
The specific emotion you seek to activate will depend on what it is you want your readers to feel.
Triggering the emotions of your readers is one of the best content strategies in writing, we know that much.
Exactly how does one command action from his blog through emotional outreach?
This is where it gets quite challenging. Since people are individually unique in personality and emotion, pleasing every single body will be impossible.
The good news is that you don’t have to!
Writing is more personal than it is commercial, and aiming to please all of your readers will only drag you down to an abyss of disappointment.
So don’t waste time on trying to realize world peace! Not everyone will agree with your thoughts.
This, however, does not mean that they are irrelevant for they pose a challenge you must learn to overcome, plus negative feedback is a great way of improving your works as it is considerably good feedback.
Keep in mind that your blog is simply a digitalization of your brain. Some will find it incredible while some, well, not so much.
There you have it! I hope you take these simple yet powerful aspects in writing to heart.
Make readers feel for your works by captivating their emotions, be open to feedback and write your brains out for the world to see!
