Reverse engineering blogging success
Often starting a blog seems like a great idea. Many bloggers dream of blogging success but how to we achieve this?
Having spent a few years studying philosophy I often like to pose questions to provoke some level of thought that otherwise wouldn’t have existed.
Thoughts about success in general and blogging success specifically interest me for a number of reasons. I’m sure many of my readers will agree with me when I say many of us want to get our message out to the world for a specific reason, however, many of you will be aspiring to that life free from the chains of work.
It’s interesting to capture for a moment what our real motivations are for doing the things that we are doing. Some time we may not if be consciously aware.
Lots of fellow bloggers I contact with started out online because they thought it’s the way to easy money. Only to start blogging for a year and then give up because they have spent more than they have made. This is a sure fire way not to achieve your dream of blogging success. If you get disheartened early, if you build you blogging house on week foundation then it will fall over for certain.
I am not in denial about my reasons for blogging . I wanted blogging success because I wanted a passive income I could build on.I was also unhappy about the limited and inaccurate information that was out there regarding staring a blog. If you will, I wanted to share my vision of what blogging success looks like and how best to go about achieving it.
Blogging success is in the mind
I firmly believe we create our own success. It is also true that you need to know what direction to go in first. It doesn’t matter how determined you are if someone has let you lose in the wrong direction. You will never achieve your goal and again only get disheartened with the process.
Getting your mind set right is key though. again when I talk about reverse engineering success I am focused on the mental side of building blogging success. When we look at those top influential bloggers what do they all have in common. A certain mind set which allows them to achieve something very few other do. That’s a combination of determination and being pointed in the right direction.
It can quite easily happen you go to reverse engineer other peoples blogging success, you go to their blog and go. How the hell can I recreate that?
That is not uncommon. And for me it is like some one going to you build a car from scratch and you coming out with a go cart and the team from Mercedes bringing out their brand new car. They didn’t just become that good over night that was years and years of effort and research.
Other peoples blogs are not different from yours they have just had more time to build there brand. You need to put that blog to one side and forget the presentation for a moment. The presentation will come it’s learnt like many other things in life. When you strip is back they are just people.
If you have some time it’s worth checking out this article by Tanner Chistensen on the MOZ website, its about how to blog successfully about anything
I found it interesting and I think if you are looking to for blogging success it’s definently worth a few minutes of your time to read.
People with passion succeed
They are people that is true, they are ordinary people this is also true, but they are different. They are different because they are ordinary people with great focus on their end goal. They have visualized where they want to be. And they have worked it back to what steps they need to take to to get where they want to get.
Plan to succeed don’t plan to fail
Is this a cliche, no it’s true. Once you reverse engineer this success you need to write a plan about the necessary step you need to take. Tick them off as you achieve them. Mine was simple. It mainly revolved around adding visitor to my blog on a regular basis. Yours might be do do with lowering your bounce rate of visitors to your blog.
These are just some of my thought about the mentally around success. After all I believe that is what separates each of us from really delivering our true potential. I would be interested in all of your places for success share them with me in the comments box below.
